The Shelter created in May 1966, came from the idea of the late Father Bruno Carra, parish priest of the Church of St. Peter of Tremembé at that time. Vincentian Jose Almeida and his wife Alice donated the land. The Shelter is another United Society Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, to which it is linked, obeying its rules and norms.
Its mission is to receive needy, homeless or helpless elderly women without financial resources and preferably from Vincentian-assisted families or neighborhoods near the Shelter, encouraging them to live a life of dignity in a fraternal environment within of Vincentian spirituality, always respecting his personal limits.
